This project involved designing and developing a self-paced professional development course using Articulate Rise 360. Titled “Designing for All: A Digital Toolkit for Inclusive Teaching”, the course equips K–12 educators with practical strategies for creating inclusive classrooms using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
Following the ADDIE instructional design model, I began with a needs assessment conducted at UNIPRA South Inclusive School in Ghana to identify key gaps in inclusive teaching practices. The course was then structured to align with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), incorporate multimedia learning elements, and support diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction.
The course consists of 10 interactive lessons, covering topics such as assistive technology, UDL-aligned lesson planning, and culturally responsive strategies. Interactive features such as knowledge checks, scenarios, and visual examples were integrated to enhance learner engagement and accessibility.
The final course was published as a SCORM package and is hosted on SCORM Cloud for testing and demonstration purposes, allowing for tracking, analytics, and LMS integration readiness.
This instructional design project aligns with the AECT Standards for professional practice, ethical use of educational technology, and learner-centered design. It reflects my commitment to inclusive education and my ability to create impactful digital learning experiences tailored to real-world educational challenges.
