This project involved designing and developing a professional course prototype titled "Digital Literacy for Educators" within the Moodle LMS environment. Following the ADDIE instructional design model, I structured the course to introduce foundational digital literacy concepts for pre-service and in-service educators.
The course design included a welcome announcement, a structured module, resource pages, and a formative quiz to assess learner understanding. Bloom’s Taxonomy guided the development of learning activities, targeting cognitive domains such as remembering, understanding, and applying key concepts related to digital technology integration in education.
This project demonstrated LMS course-building skills such as creating modules, uploading resources, embedding activities, setting up quizzes, and managing learner navigation within Moodle’s course structure.
By the end of the module, learners are able to:
Define core concepts of digital literacy in education
Identify credible digital resources to support classroom instruction
Apply basic digital safety and ethics practices when using educational technologies
